Mahindra Navistar’s MN 49 & MN 40 trucks unveiled at the 10th Auto Expo

January 6, 2010, New Delhi: Made in India and made for Indian, Mahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd. (MNAL), the commercial vehicle JV between Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) and Navistar Inc. of USA, unveiled its MN 49 and MN 40 trucks for the Indian market last year at the 10th annual Auto Expo held at New Delhi.

These trucks are true high performance machines designed, developed and tested under demanding Indian conditions. Powered by Navistar’s revolutionary MaxxForce® engine, a proven performer across the world for power and fuel efficiency, their spacious, ergonomic design coupled with a better power to weight ratio and a higher payload capacity makes them best suited to the task of delivering cargo faster.

Mahindra Navistar’s ranges of heavy commercial vehicles are manufactured at M&M's state-of-the-art, new Greenfield plant at Chakan, near Pune with technical expertise from Navistar Inc., a company world-renowned for their trucking know-how, with a brand heritage extending over 175 years. The plant, which spans over 700 acres, has been set up with an investment of over Rs. 4,000 crore and will cater to other M&M offerings as well.
